Review

Though advertised as “Game Copy Software”, BlindWrite can actually make exact copies of any CD or DVD regardless of its content, as well as burn any ISO file onto required media. It works perfectly well with both physical and virtual drives, and instead of just ripping tracks from audio CDs or movies from video DVDs, it produces a perfect image of the original content.

It is precisely its capability of making a 1:1 perfect copy of any disc that makes it so useful when backing up your games. This precision, however, is also very valuable when making mirror copies of video DVDs, thus preserving all its different elements (menus, extra features, etc.).

BlindWrite comes wrapped up in a simple and intuitive interface with three main working modes – Copy, Read, and Write. The first mode is the one to use when you need to create an exact copy of a given disc, and it is a combination of the actions performed by the other two. Thus, the program will first read and then copy the content onto the target media. The other two modes will allow you to extract the files of the original disc (Read mode) and to burn these files on a blank disc whenever it suits you best (Write mode). When using the Read mode you can apply different profiles according to how you would like the information to be stored in your system – as an ISO file, as a continuous file, as tracks from an audio CD, etc.

BlindWrite is, in short, an extremely easy-to-use back up software tool that produces perfect copies of your discs and ISO files in just a few clicks.
